With over five years of dedicated experience in skin cancer medicine and surgery, Dr. Millie Ghetia brings her expertise and passion for patient care to Barr Street. Originally from the UK, she graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2014 and moved to Australia with her partner Ajay, drawn by the natural beauty of Cairns, where she has since made her home.
Dr. Ghetia’s extensive background spans various hospital roles including Plastics and Emergency medicine across Cairns, Brisbane, and Canberra, giving her a well-rounded approach to skin health. During her GP Fellowship in Yeppoon, Central Queensland, she honed her skills in skin cancer surgery and medicine, managing complex cases in a high-volume clinic while also gaining experience in cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Ghetia holds Diplomas in Skin Cancer Surgery and Medicine and also a Diploma in Dermoscopy and specializes in advanced procedures, including facial skin cancer removals, grafts, and flaps, always prioritizing scar minimization and tailored care. She is a strong advocate for early detection and regular skin checks, ensuring her patients receive the highest level of preventative care.
