Dr Latisha was born in Darwin but grew up in Cairns and completed her medical training at the University of Newcastle in 2000. She returned to Cairns to complete her Intern and Resident years.

She has worked on Thursday Island and at Bamaga Hospital as a Senior Medical Officer, which she found very rewarding to give back to the Community. Latisha has extensive experience in Indigenous Primary Health Care and is passionate about Indigenous Health.
Her other interests are Mental Health and Well-being, Sexual Health, Women’s Health and Well-being, Child and Adolescent Health and the Management of Chronic Disease and Preventative Health. She practices in a holistic framework when caring for patients which embraces their psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being.
